Business owner Paul had been leading the life of a typical busy executive, over-worked and highly stressed.

What were your expectations going into the programme and what were your motivations?

“To get the right diet plan and body transformation program.

Based on the body transformation before and after pictures that you see from Ultimate Performance I had very high expectations.

I expected to lose weight, get a 6 pack and put on muscle size. My main motivation was to get a shredded body to be honest but as I went through the program I was educated on micro nutrients and nutrition by my trainer Mark.”

Can you tell me how you were feeling both physically and mentally before starting with UP?

“Physically I didn’t feel strong, I thought I looked okay but I obviously wasn’t happy with my body physically. However mentally I was tired, lacked the energy and that fire in my belly.

Very stressed with running my business, tired and a bit drained or flat.”


What was your diet and lifestyle like before you started your transformation with UP?

“I thought it was good. 18 months ago I gave up alcohol for good, and it was a huge change in my life and one I should have done years ago. This decision giving up booze had a dramatic effect on my lifestyle and overall health, however I always knew that if I could find the answers on the right diet for me personally that would have another dramatic impact on my health and lifestyle.

I turned to UP to get the education. If you Google diet than you get all diet plans that are not specific to your body type, your body transformation goals, your health and your specific lifestyle.

My trainer took all that vital information and designed a specific nutrition plan to ensure that it complemented my goals.

After only a couple of weeks into the program I realised it [my previous diet] was very poor, not planned, not organised and never measured. Once I learnt about micro nutrients, and being an all or nothing guy, I really stuck to my plan that my trainer set out for me. My lifestyle is very full on; it’s never calm. I am married with two young children, and started my own business from the ground up and that takes a serious amount of hard work, late nights, worry and stress.”

How did your diet and lifestyle change when you started your transformation with UP?

After two weeks coming off carbs and operating off a high good-fats diet I found I had much more energy. Longer lasting anyway.

I have excelled in work, and I feel much more focussed and not as tired.

I have the fire back in my belly which is only a positive for me. As a husband, father and leader I give more.

I am not as tired as I was before the transformation and ultimately, I feel so much better about my body, health and state of mind.

What effect did this have on your health, performance, lifestyle and energy inside and outside the gym?

Health is wealth.

Once I started seeing the results you start to feel good, feel healthier, perform better, and become more disciplined about what you put into your body. Which can only be a positive obviously.

How did you find the training and did it fit around your busy lifestyle?

Easy, perfect in fact.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I was [previously] spending two hours in the gym and only doing a fraction of what you get through in the transformation workouts.


What were your results like after your transformation?

“It’s cliché, but I was amazed what my trainer achieved with me in only a 10-week period, I was amazed.

I loved my results and still do. It’s the discipline in diet and workouts that I now know I enjoy. I like routine, and I like being disciplined and healthy.

I love feeling in shape, strong and healthy.

My trainer was awesome through it all, always pushing in the right way. The guy is phenomenal with knowing what to do and how to do it, and his nutrition knowledge is outstanding.

Obviously I couldn’t have done this without his plan, knowledge and motivational support.”

What were the most important things you learned during your journey and what really worked for you in helping you make your transformation?

Diet is key, as are micro nutrients. Be strict, be consistent and listen to exactly what your trainer tells you do. The trainer is the expert.

I was told what I could achieve in the 10 weeks, and I honestly didn’t think that was possible. I was 15.5% body fat, and then was around 8% in a 10-week period.

Like so many busy executives, Norman was worried that his results would be hampered by all the travel that he has to do for work.

What was the obstacle that would have prevented you from starting the process?

Personally, my biggest hurdle to starting — or committing to a training and diet program — is the concern that I won’t be in town very often. With fashion weeks and press trips, staying consistent with exercise has always been an issue.

Would you recommend UP? If so, why?

Definitely. Throughout the 12 weeks, as my friends and colleagues witnessed my gradual transformation, they were constantly asking me whether I recommend UP. 100 per cent.

It really introduced discipline and self-care back into my daily life. Besides looking good, I feel strong, lean and healthy. Everything is firing on all cylinders, and I have a renewed sense of alertness.

Just a couple of months ago, he looked at himself in the mirror and couldn’t help but feel sorry for himself – he had completely neglected his body and health.

Tim – UP London City

Yo-Yo dieting is something so many of us struggle with.

Tim was the same before he started his UP body transformation. The financial journalist was the classic yo-yo dieter. Going on a health push, losing weight, getting in better shape, then letting it slip and piling it all back on, and more.

He would rebound with pizza, pasta, bread and wine and would sometimes put back on 5, 10 or even 20kg.

But his 12-week transformation has changed all that. Tim’s bespoke diet and training plan at UP saw body fat melt off him – in a matter of two weeks he had already shed almost 7kg.

His weight dropped by 14.4kg and his body fat went from 17% to a super-lean 9% in a matter of 12 weeks to get him in the best shape of his life.

“I’ve not had one week where I’ve looked and thought I’ve gone backwards. Every single week I’ve had progress and that has kept me motivated for the following week.”
