The old days of pregnancy heralding a 9 month bore fest of TV watching and literal navel gazing are long gone. It is now widely known that a woman should focus on maintaining, or even improving, her own level of fitness whilst she is pregnant, and that getting back into exercise as soon as she can after giving birth is the healthiest thing possible for both her body and her mind.

Workouts are of course tailored carefully to the trimester and an emphasis is placed on maintaining a level of core fitness that will enable you to regain your figure and “bounce” within less than 15 weeks of giving birth.

Precise attention is also give to relaxation, recovery and regeneration methods such as meditation, breathing techniques and Chi Kung, and nutrition is a massively emphasised subject that is absolutely vital to ensuring a healthy baby and it’s mental and physical development, both during the pregnancy and when breast feeding. As an example, some of our clients tell us that it is all a little unfair on their older children, as the ones who have benefitted from our nurturing of the mother all tend to have greater levels of concentration, less mood swings, and do better at school.
