Heather Pearson – Active Release Techniques (ART)
We like to think that we have the best assortment of personal trainers and rehabilitation and ART (active release techniques) specialists in London. Heather Pearson fits that description for us perfectly due to her wide array of industry qualifications and the fantastic way that she approaches everything that she does. In truth, although she is a fully qualified personal trainer she won’t mind us saying that she is almost certainly too nice and friendly to excel at something where results are all about pushing clients beyond their limits and listening to few (or none if you are Nick Mitchell!) excuses. Instead, as befits her bubbly and vivacious nature, Heather’s forte is helping people function, move and live better and more pain free lives. She always has a smile on her face, always has extra time for others and all her clients and colleagues alike love having her around! If she ever gets around to reading these words she will most likely be rather embarrassed by our praise, but she had better get used to it.
Heather came into the fitness and rehab industry in 2001 after a traumatic car crash left her with severe injuries. Her own rehabilitation took many years and following a 12 year career in TV production she decided to pursue a new path where she could help people stay healthy and pain free.
A qualified Sports Therapist she now has a thriving practice both at Ultimate Performance’s City of London personal training gym and in west London and works with both the general population and professional sportspeople in such events as rugby, cricket, martial arts, boxing and bodybuilding where her personal training / strength & conditioning qualifications and experience give her a definite advantage over other therapists. During this time Heather has treated clients with a variety of medical conditions such as cancer, strokes, bells palsy, patients and a variety of injuries including ankle sprains, RSI, rotator cuff, plantar fascitis, runners knee and tennis elbow to name but a few.
Heather is also a fully certified ART practitioner. ART or Active Release Techniques is described in greater detail in the rehabilitation area of our website but in a nutshell it is a treatment methodology that we have found to be the most effective and rapid way for easing muscular tightness and all it’s myriad of associated injuries.
Heather continues her education by attending physical training, nutrition and injury based courses all over the world, learning from the most elite coaches and therapists in the industry.
